Workplace first aid requirements
In Costa Rica, workplace first aid is governed by Law No. 6727 on Work Risks (Ley de Riesgos del Trabajo), Title IV of the Labor Code, administered by Occupational Health Council (Consejo de Salud Ocupacional) of the Ministry of Labor, and the National Insurance Institute (INS). Employers must ensure a trained first aider is available at all times.
