First Aid & CPR Costa Rica
Becoming a foster family in Costa Rica means providing a temporary family setting to children and adolescents under the protection of the Patronato Nacional de la Infancia (PANI). Before placement, families are assessed and trained; first-aid and CPR training is commonly expected as part of that care preparation.
Within PANI's family foster-care program, families take part in a training process and in a psycho-socio-legal suitability assessment carried out by the interdisciplinary team before a child or adolescent is placed. Holding current first-aid and CPR training — to respond to wounds, choking or cardiac arrest, including pediatric CPR — is a common expectation of care, although it is not always stated as an explicit legal requirement.
Suitability and training are recognized and declared by PANI's Protection Department. The training is in addition to the psychosocial study and the expected parenting conditions, and should be kept current.
我们严格遵循 ILCOR(International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation)的建议,该国际机构负责对全球复苏标准进行科学评估与制定。
